ISC Spring Summer Fashion Show

On Wednesday 30 July, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre secured a position at the top of Brisbane’s thriving fashion scene when it partnered with Vogue Australia Editor-in-Chief Edwina McCann, to deliver its spring summer 2014 fashion parade The One The Only, at Brisbane’s City Hall. The unique 4D show by Prendi Australia provided more than 500 VIP guests with the ultimate sensory experience, combining a live fashion parade with models parading a 19 metre runway in real-time, with a pre-recorded digital show – featuring another eight looks for the season – lining the inner walls of the historic Brisbane City Hall grand ballroom. Australia’s golden girl Samantha Harris headlined the show, leading 20 models down the catwalk, wearing the season’s newest fashion and accessory designer brands, which are now available at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre’s leading designer stores. The Australian-first event showcased international labels including Ted Baker and MAX&Co. and home-grown fashion brands Carla Zampatti, Camilla, Akira, Manning Cartell, Scanlan Theodore, Calibre and Sambag. Outfits were styled by Virginia Dowzer, while tresses were crafted by Australian hair queen Paloma Rose Garcia of Oscar Oscar fame, who was flown from Sydney exclusively for the evening. More than 20 faces were brought to life by the Mecca Cosmetica team which recently opened in Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. indooroopillyshopping.com.au prendi.com.au

ISC Spring Summer Fashion Show

Prendi has a long partnership with ISC, so we wanted to make something spectacular for their big fashion show in city hall. We decided to create a huge projection-mapped video, incorporating footage, 3D and 2D animation.

Firstly we shot multiple images of Brisbane City Hall and modelled it in 3D. This meant that we could manipulate parts of the scene and animate them, or even remove them completely.

We then shot models wearing the season’s clothing on green screen. We imported this footage and then created various uniquely Australian environments and composited the models into the scenes.

We then projected this back onto the walls in City Hall, creating the illusion of the walls coming alive with the models walking down virtual runways.

I helped design and animate the scenes and composited all the models into their environments.
